Baccaris is a French lighting house born from the shared passion of its founders, Jean-Edouard Cistacq and Myriam Magra, for design and timeless objects. Their collaboration, built on ten years of experience in the design world, led them to take a major step forward: creating their own brand, reflecting their unique vision.

The name Baccaris is a tribute to Jean-Edouard’s family heritage. It was the name of his great-grandmother, a passionate collector and hunter of antique oil lamps. Deeply influenced by the elegant curves and refined materials of these collectible objects that surrounded his childhood, Jean-Edouard developed a fascination for form and light. This passion has forged a unique vision, where every luminaire tells its own story.

At Baccaris, every creation is envisioned as a balance between tradition and modernity.
Our lighting fixtures are defined by their classic, timeless design, crafted to complement eclectic interiors while remaining deeply rooted in a passion for beauty and exceptional materials.
Our mission is to offer objects that are both functional and poetic capable of transforming any space into a sanctuary of charm and serenity.

The essence of Baccaris lies in a subtle blend of heritage and modern innovation, giving life to unique pieces that transcend both trends and time.

Jean-Edouard CISTACQ / Co-founder, Designer & Creative Director

A graduate of the Beaux-Arts in Bordeaux and Saint-Étienne, Jean-Édouard Cistacq refined his aesthetic vision at the prestigious Galerie kreo, collaborating with some of the world’s leading names in design. After ten years as Creative Director at ENOstudio, he co-founded Baccaris with Myriam Magra a lighting house that has rapidly established a strong presence on the international stage.

Myriam MAGRA / Co-founder & Project Director

Trained in international business and a graduate of Arts et Métiers engineering school, Myriam Magra built her career managing complex turnkey international projects, primarily in Africa, for demanding clients in the oil and gas sector. During this time, she developed sharp expertise in strategic leadership, multicultural coordination, and overseeing large-scale operations in high-stakes environments.

She later pivoted to the design industry, taking over the sales management of ENOstudio, where she joined forces with Jean-Edouard Cistacq. By co-founding Baccaris, she brings this operational rigor and strategic vision to the service of creative excellence.
